48 percent of applicants to Lane College were admitted for fall 2017


At Lane College, 92 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 54 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Jackson enrolled 1,420 students in fall 2017, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 6.5 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

57 percent of undergraduates are residents of Tennessee, and 43 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Black or African American (93 percent) and two or more races (1 percent).

The school admitted 48 percent of the 6,097 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 14 percent enrolled.
